Apothecary Display Cabinet – Tutorial Part 1



Here are the measurements of everything so far.
Remember these measurements are good if you are using PRIORITY thin chipboard boxes. Recycle recycle recycle!
I’ll start at the “top” of the Apothecary Display and work my way down.

First is the “CROWN”
Top Crown – 1 piece 12½”3½”
Middle Crown – 2 pieces 13″X4″
Bottom Crown -2 pieces 13½”X4½”

Next is the “CASE”
Case Top – 1 piece 13″X4″
Case Bottom – 1 piece 13″X6″
Case Bottom Inside – 1 piece 12 15/16″X6″
Case Front – 1 piece 13″X12″ (cut 1″ border and discard middle section)
Case Back – 1 piece 13″X11 7/8″ (cut 1″ border,{REVISED from video: discard middle section, cut two pieces 12″X11″[12"being the width, 11" being the height], glues these two pieces together, when dry cut in half to make two pieces 6″X11″ for doors)
Case Sides – 2 pieces 11 7/8″X6″ (measure over from top right 2″ then draw a line from that point down to corner like shown in video)
Case Top Shelf – 3 pieces 12 15/16″X4¾”
Case Middle Shelf – 3 pieces 12 15/16″X5¼”
Case Bottom Shelf – 1 piece 12 15/16″X5 7/8″
Case Bottom Shelf supports – 6 pieces 7/8″X7½”

Next is the “BASE” of the unit
Top Base – 1 piece 13¾”X6¾”
Middle Base – 2 pieces 14″X7″
Bottom Base top & bottom – 2 pieces 14½”X7½”
Bottom Base long sides – 2 pieces 14½”X1″
Bottom Base short sides – 2 pieces 7 3/8″X1″
Bottom Base supports – 4to6pieces 9½”X1″

The last measurements are for the “TRAYS”

3 Large Trays – 3 pieces 5½”X4 1/8″, 6 pieces 4 1/8″X½”, 6 pieces 5 3/8″X½”
3 Medium Trays – 3 pieces 4¾”X4 1/8″, 6 pieces 4 1/8″X½”, 6 pieces 4 5/8″X½”
3 Small Trays – 3 pieces 4¼”X4 1/8″, 6 pieces 4 1/8″X½”, 6 pieces 4 1/8″X½”
